The mission is simple: enter the dungeon, explore, survive, and maybe get rich. But as some remember, the characters are mortal, the monsters are unbalanced, and sometimes the best solution is to escape. WARNING FOR NOSTALGIANS: This game is not as smooth, elegant, or ingenious as you remember. The red box is angular, unforgiving, and slow in places, and the rules sometimes feel more like tradition than reason. Nostalgia has done its job, it has smoothed out the edges and made us forget about wandering through dungeons, deaths, and the fact that no one was quite sure how the game actually worked. If this sounds like an invitation rather than an obstacle, you've come to the right place.
